ALP ART HOTEL TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Purpose
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS) define the rights and obligations of Alp Art Hotel and its clients in connection with the reservation and provision of accommodation and related services.
2. Scope of Application
These GTCS apply to all reservations made directly with the hotel, via its website or booking platforms, by telephone, email, or on site.
Any reservation implies full and unconditional acceptance of these GTCS.
3. Reservations
A reservation becomes firm and final after written confirmation by the hotel and, where applicable, receipt of a deposit or the client’s bank/card details.
The hotel reserves the right to refuse any reservation in the event of a previous dispute with the client.
4. Rates
Prices are indicated in Swiss Francs (CHF), all taxes included (VAT included at the rate applicable on the day of booking).
The tourist tax, if applicable, is not included in the price and must be paid on site.
Rates may be modified at any time; however, services are billed based on the rate in effect at the time of booking.
5. Payment Terms
Payment may be required in full or partially (deposit) at the time of booking.
Accepted methods of payment include: [credit/debit cards, cash, bank transfer, etc.].
Any unpaid service may result in cancellation of the reservation.
Payment may be made on site upon arrival.
6. Cancellation and Modification Conditions
Unless otherwise agreed:
- Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the arrival date.
- In the event of late cancellation or no-show, 100% of the total stay or the first night may be charged.
- Specific conditions for special offers or non-refundable rates shall prevail.
- Any modification to a reservation is subject to availability and may result in a rate adjustment.
7. Check-in and Check-out
- Rooms are available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival.
- Rooms must be vacated by 10:00 AM on the day of departure.
- Any late departure may result in an additional night being charged.
- Subject to availability, early check-in or late check-out may be requested from the reception staff. An additional charge may apply depending on hotel occupancy and the duration of the request.
- The reception desk and hotel entrance doors close at 10:00 PM. A night watchman is available on site to allow late arrivals.
8. Hotel Stay
Guests agree to comply with the hotel’s internal regulations.
Any behavior contrary to good morals, public order, or causing disturbance may result in the guest’s eviction without compensation.
The quietness of the establishment and guests between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM must be strictly respected.
Guests are responsible for any damage caused within the establishment.
9. Use of Rooms
Rooms are provided exclusively for the number of persons indicated at the time of booking.
Smoking is strictly prohibited in the rooms. Some accommodations are equipped with a balcony. Any damage or excessive soiling will be charged to the guest.
10. Pets
Pets are allowed. Where applicable, additional fees apply and their presence must be declared in advance.
Any damage or excessive soiling may result in additional charges.
11. Parking
Parking consists exclusively of outdoor spaces and is available to guests. Guests must declare their use of the parking facilities and pay upon arrival at reception.
12. Liability
The hotel declines all responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to guests’ personal belongings, except as provided by law.
The hotel’s liability cannot be engaged in cases of force majeure.
13. Personal Data
Guests’ personal data are treated confidentially and in accordance with Swiss data protection legislation. They are used solely within the framework of the contractual relationship.
14. Complaints and Disputes
Any complaint must be submitted in writing to the hotel within 7 days following the stay.
In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought prior to any legal action.
15. Applicable Law
These General Terms and Conditions are governed by Swiss law.
The exclusive place of jurisdiction is the District of Monthey, Switzerland.
SOS TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. SOS Apartments & Extended Stays
These General Terms & Conditions apply to all SOS Apartment stays and extended stays operated by the Alp Art Hotel.
By confirming a reservation, the guest (hereafter referred to as “the tenant”) acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted these conditions in full.
2. Contract Formation
A reservation becomes legally binding upon acceptance of the offer issued by the Alp Art Hotel, whether by email confirmation, written agreement, online booking, or verbal acceptance.
The Alp Art Hotel reserves the right to refuse or cancel a reservation if contractual conditions are not fulfilled.
3. Nature of Stay – Temporary Accommodation
All SOS Apartment stays are strictly temporary and short-term.
No legal residence, domicile, or address registration may be established.
The maximum duration of an SOS Apartment stay is three (3) months, subject to prior written approval.
4. Rates, Taxes & Charges
All prices are stated in Swiss Francs (CHF) and include VAT.
Local tourist taxes are not included and are payable per person, per night, in accordance with applicable tourism regulations.
Rates may vary depending on seasonality, apartment category, and length of stay.
5. Payment Conditions
- The first month’s rent must be paid in full prior to arrival.
- Reservations made within 30 days of arrival must be paid in full at confirmation.
- Failure to comply with payment terms may result in cancellation without compensation.
6. Security Deposit & Insurance
A security deposit of CHF 1,000 is required for all SOS Apartment stays.
The deposit is secured by credit card authorization upon arrival and released after departure, subject to inspection and provided no damage is found.
Tenants must hold valid civil liability insurance for the entire duration of their stay. Proof may be requested prior to arrival.
The Alp Art Hotel reserves the right to retain part or all of the deposit in case of:
- Damage to the apartment or furnishings
- Missing items
- Excessive cleaning requirements
- Violation of house rules
7. Extension & Renewal of Stay
Any request to extend a stay must be submitted at least 15 days before the end of the contract.
Extensions are subject to:
- Availability
- Written approval by the Alp Art Hotel
- Full payment of accommodation fees upon confirmation
Without written confirmation, the tenant must vacate the apartment at the agreed end date.
8. Arrival & Departure
- Check-in: from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- Check-out: by 10:00 AM
Arrivals on weekends or public holidays must be arranged in advance.
Late departures without prior approval may result in additional charges or an extra night being billed.
10. Inventory & Condition of the Apartment
The inventory is deemed accepted upon arrival.
Any defects or discrepancies must be reported within 24 hours.
Upon departure, the apartment must be returned in clean and proper condition.
Additional cleaning, repair, or replacement costs may be charged if necessary.
11. Apartment Allocation
The assigned apartment number is not contractually binding.
The Alp Art Hotel reserves the right to allocate an equivalent apartment if operational requirements so demand.
12. Parking
An outdoor parking space may be available under specific conditions and subject to availability.
The Alp Art Hotel accepts no liability for loss or damage to vehicles or their contents.
13. House Rules & Conduct
Tenants must comply with:
- Building regulations
- Local laws and ordinances
- Quiet hours after 10:00 PM
Any disturbance, misconduct, or serious violation of house rules may result in immediate termination of the stay without compensation.
14. Smoking Policy
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the apartments.
Any violation will result in a CHF 300 cleaning and deodorization fee.
Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas.
15. Pets
Pets are permitted only with prior approval.
Tenants are fully responsible for their pets and any damage or disturbance caused.
Violations may result in a CHF 300 penalty, in addition to any repair or cleaning costs.
16. Waste Disposal & Local Regulations
Tenants must comply with local waste disposal, recycling, and parking regulations.
Any fines or penalties resulting from non-compliance are the tenant’s responsibility.
17. Health & Independence
The tenant confirms that they are fully independent and in suitable health condition.
SOS Apartments are not medical, assisted-living, or care facilities.
18. Force Majeure
No compensation shall be granted in cases of force majeure, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, government actions, or events beyond reasonable control.
19. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These General Terms & Conditions are governed by Swiss law.
The exclusive place of jurisdiction is the district of Monthey, Switzerland.
